I woke up on the morning of the 26th to find that my Baby Bok Choi had sprouted. By later in the day so had my Little Gem Romaine lettuce, and Straight Eight Cucumbers. The funny thing is that their germination times were 10-21 days, 7-10 days, and 7-14 days, respectively. Just goes to show that when you create great conditions for the seeds that they can pop up much faster than expected sometimes.
It's amazing to watch and see how much a plant can grow in just a day. I love watching them and seeing how tall and bushy they can grow in just a single day.
Two of these varieties are great for container gardening - you can even see the little icon of a pot on the front of the seedling packets. This is always something to look for if you are new to container gardening and want to have a good chance at your plants providing fruits and vegetables. I started out with varieties that are great for container gardening and then once I did well with them I branched out to other items. Other plants can be grown in a container; however, you may need to water them more often, provide more fertilizer and nutrients, have a bigger/deeper pot, etc.
