Oh crap, I messed up

So yesterday I was working on transplanting zucchini and squash into bigger containers. However, I forgot to make certain that every set of 6 seedlings had a marker in them. So about 20 minutes into the process I realized that I wasn't certain which plant was which. And have you ever tried to tell what plant is a crookneck squash, a straightneck squash, and a pumpkin plant? It gets easier once the plants are bigger, but at this size they essentially look identical.

After panicking for a few minutes, I realized in each set there was a plant that was unique, such as a smaller one, one that was an odd shape, or a torn leaf. Why was that important? Because I take photos every day and I could compare what I had to the photos.

After a few minutes I was able to go through and identify which plant was which and get a marker into each set. Man, was I worried! Lesson learned, that is for sure - ALWAYS check to make sure each set of plants is clearly marked.
